Welcome

Keep Morristown Hamblen Beautiful, Inc. is a volunteer based, non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status. KMHB is an education agency that focuses on three points of our community: litter prevention, beautification and community improvement, and solid waste management/recycling.

Keep Morristown Hamblen Beautiful, Inc. is funded by the State Litter Grant Program, Hamblen County, the City of Morristown, Morristown Area Chamber of Commerce, and membership contributions from individuals, families, businesses, and industries.

Litter Is

...misplaced, man-made or man-used solid waste. Litter is the symptom; mishandling of solid waste is the behavior, and attitude is the problem.

The Seven Sources Of Litter:

  • Improperly containerized household garbage
  • Improperly containerized commercial refuse
  • Loading/unloading Areas
  • Uncovered trucks
  • Construction/demolition sites
  • Motorists/boaters
  • Pedestrians

Last year 8 million dollars was spent on cleanup in Tennessee.

When you litter, you set a bad example for others. Use a trash can, or better yet, recycle.

Stop it. Stop litter!
