Earth Day

April

KAB in partnership with the Friends of Panther Creek State Park hosted the first Earth Day Celebration on April 21st. This was a free educational event for all ages. There were ranger led hikes, reptile programs, scavenger hunts, bird feeders, information on composting, recycling and bio-diesel cars. It was a fun, hands on day for everyone to take a moment and celebrate the Earth we live on.

 

 

 

  

KAB Youth Advisory Board

March

Youth cleaned property around ALPS Day Services and planted 2 dogwoods and tulips for the staff and residents to enjoy.

Youth cleaned fishing access at Cherokee Park.

 

Trash Tour

Coordinated several field trips for classes to go on the "Trash Tour". Classes would travel from the Landfill, the Recycling Center, the Water Plant, and stop at a park for lunch while also playing some educational games. Great day of fun and hands on learning of environmental education.

 

Power Clean Up

33.5 tons of Litter collected in 4 counties with 784 volunteers!!!

Morristown City Mayor came out to support us as past KAB Executive Director!
